Peter Middendorf specialises in lightweight design and manufacturing technologies. His major research focus is on fibre-reinforced composites, additive layer manufacturing and sandwich construction in parallel with the respective simulation methods. His interests include methods for continuous data exchange for digital material and process technologies, digital fibre placement fabrication technologies and simulation, lightweight fibre-composite and folded-core building elements and systems.
